Absolutely, walking our minds is a simple way of being aware of our thoughts and actions.
Like with walking our pet friends we can lead them to a nice place using their leash, even the journey getting to your shared special place can be relaxing if we can remember to feed our mind nourishing thoughts.
I was at a dog park with a friend who loves their dog and weed.
He’s taking a few hits off his joint looking a far cry from the stressed out person I knew.
Nothing in their life major had changed, same job, same wife, same house, you get the drift nothing outwardly in their life changed.
He has smoked weed since college, it helped, but he was still super stressed out mostly until the last few months.
I asked him what changed in his life.
He points to his dog with a blazing joint looking like a urban shaman (hehehehehe) saying his dog lives totally in the now and present moment.
It would be gibberish to write down and share with you our deeper conversation over living in the present moment and how walking our own minds is possible.
I will say exploring Eckhart Tolle and Shauna Shapiro podcasts have helped reduce my personal stress about living in the past and worrying about the future.
